Single Inspectorate extends ICVA’s Influence

The Government has published a policy statement announcing its intention to create a single inspectorate for Justice, Community Safety and Custody.

ICVA was involved in the consultation exercise for this new system, which will allow us to be more involved in influencing the strategic development for the provision of places of detention within England & Wales.

Copies of the report have been placed in the Libraries of the House and full details will be revealed in the New Year edition of Visiting Times. For further information, please click here to visit the Home Office website.

300 ICVs, scheme administrators, and members of the executive committee will be making their way to Belfast, Northern Ireland this weekend for ICVA’s National Conference.
