VT Online
Visiting Times Autumn Winter ’09 is now available – our first edition to be distributed electronically. VT can be downloaded here at www.icva.org.uk, or forwarded as a pdf file by scheme administrators. The new format provides authorities with a more modern method of viewing the publication, which is also good for the environment.
The current issue provides update son the association’s work to promote and support independent custody visiting nationally - highlights include:

Training for the Future
ICVA’s superb new suite of training materials is now available. The training package includes a training DVD, Trainer’s Manual and a CD containing a student workbook. This will be sent to all police authorities for a set fee, significantly improving the ability of police authorities to produce their own copies as and when required, or distributed to ICVs via PDF where appropriate.
Following a consultation process, the new materials have been created in a modular format, to enable greater flexibility and usage, and to facilitate delivery in a way that suits local schemes. Please contact your local scheme administrator for further details.
ICVA scheme administrators got together for their national conference in Birmingham on 24-25 June 2009, an excellent two day event which attendees found extremely rewarding. This event provided a great opportunity for scheme administrators to ‘compare notes’ and share best practice across schemes, while catching up on the latest information by expert speakers on arange of topical issues as follows…
